A unique, original concept made in Burgundy

Agence RP EVENTS invites you on a unique journey mixing culture, nature and wine tourism. Over the course of a day, discover or rediscover these epic locations in Burgundy that produced the cult scenes of La Grande Vadrouille and savour the pleasures of vine and wine…

A morning of culture and heritage that lets you discover the Hospices de Beaune and the “Kommandantur” in Meursault. At the end of the morning, the adventure continues out in the heart of nature: we head for the “End of the World”, an exceptional mountain cirque… A getaway to discover another side of the Hautes Côtes de Beaune.

In the afternoon, on the Route des Grands Crus in Côte de Beaune, you’ll make 6 tasting stops at exceptional wine estates in famous villages: Santenay, Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Pommard. An activity based around vine and wine awaits at each stop to discover the wines of Burgundy from a different perspective, in a fun and original way.

Step 1 - 8:00 : Les Hospices Civils de Beaune

Our partner “Taxi Franon” picks you up at your accommodation by VIP minibus. Your group is taken to the Hôtel-Dieu in Beaune and welcomed by our tour guide. He’s accompanied by the famous Dames Hospitalières de Beaune (nurses). The Hôtel-Dieu is the most famous monument of the city. Fists patients have been hosted from 1452 until in the 1960’s. It is currently the 6th favorite museum of the French.

Step 2 - 9:20 : La Mairie de Meursault

A must-see location, the Kommandantur, which is also the town hall of Meursault, gives up all its secrets through our guide to rediscover a highlight of the film La Grande Vadrouille. La Kommandantur is the place of several famous scenes from Gérard Oury’s movie… among other things, the fire scene. The fortified castle of Meursault, dating from the 14th century, has become Meursault’s city hall. The square has been refurbished, but the movie lover’s will have the pleasure to recognize the typical Burgundy glazed tile and the famous original fire engine of the scene.

Step 3 - 10:20 : Le Bout du Monde

The Cirque du Bout du Monde (“End of the World” mountain cirque) is an unusual place that contains a waterfall about forty metres high. Very accessible and blessed with a widely recognised charm, this site, which is home to many protected species and typical mountain flora, enjoys relatively few visitors, guaranteeing a real moment of tranquillity and nature. To experience a place and access its beauty, you have to know the right paths to take. Agence RP EVENTS team has designed a discovery trail that’s accessible, fun and full of thrills: panorama, picturesque sections, nature getaway…

Step 4 - 10:50 : Le sentier Jean-Marc Boivin

The Cirque du Bout du Monde has lots of hiking trails, including the JMB circuit. Dijon mountaineer Jean Marc Boivin was an ice climber, extreme skier and paraglider. He came to train on the Cliffs of Cormot. Throughout the 49 km and its 1500m of elevation gain, the path passes through 3 Monts (up to 546m) then to the assault of the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, especially by the Montagne des Trois Croix above Santenay and Les Maranges. The hike goes through undergrowth and open areas, very pleasant in all seasons. Relatively easy to access, the trail offers more technical moments, whose charm outweighs any difficulties.

Step 5 - 11:50 : Cliffs of Cormot

Discover the Cliffs of Cormot and their breathtaking views of the Hautes Côtes de Beaune. Without a doubt, this area has a very special atmosphere and welcoming nature. Climbing fans love these cliffs, the scenery both wild, motivating and soothing. From the top of the cliffs, cut into the limestone, the view is magnificent.

Step 6 - 12:10 : Transfert on the Côte de Beaune

After this morning of discovery, you’ll reach Saint-Aubin by flying over the vineyards and hillsides by helicopter: a scenery with geometric lines that highlight the curves of the landscape. A beautiful sight with our partner Mont Blanc Hélicoptère. As you leave the cliffs, take to the skies and discover the mosaic of the Climats de Bourgogne. If the man knows how to control the space and the geography of the place, the vine imposes its rhythm, its time.

Step 7 - 12:35 : Mâchon Bourguignon

You’ll find yourself in the heart of the “Climats” of Burgundy, listed as UNESCO World Heritage. The traditional “Mâchon Bourguignon” is a board of typical cheeses and cold meats, offering different products according to the seasons. Friendly and generous, it’s an ideal lunch to accompany a wine tasting. During your gourmet break, you’ll begin your wine tourism journey: you’ll taste the wine from the vines, a Santenay village red “Champs Claude” from Domaine Muzard Père & fils. For the rest of the program : visits and tastings with our partner winegrowers. They will share their knowledge with you in order to better understand famous Burgundy Wines. At each stop, an activity will be offered to help you discover Burgundy viticulture in a fun and original way.

Creator of the first “table d’hôte” and wine tourism in Burgundy, Olivier passed on the responsibility of the **** hotel and its 17 rooms and suites to his daughter Julie. The table d’hôte has given way to the “ Bistro d’Olivier ” and the gourmet restaurant “ Klima ” has just opened its doors.

Step 11 - 4:35 : Château de Meursault

On the exceptional lands of Meursault, 84 appellations including 19 “Climats” are classified as Premier Cru.
